ux/ui designer & ARTIST

FAITHK IS A DESIGNER & ARTIST WHO LOVES TO CRAFT UP A DANG GOOD STORY.

FAITHK

FAITHK (b. 1999, Guam) is based in Utah with over 4+ years of experience. She studied Digital Photography & Digital Audiences (BA) at Arizona State University and later attended a UX/UI Design bootcamp to further enhance her skills.

She’s worked on a variety of projects where she has collaborated with cross-functional teams, to craft together intuitive designs for the education & healthcare space — that has helped make the connection between humans & technology a little easier.

She’s comfortable working on a range of projects, whether it is sketching out new ideas, building wireframes, doing user research, creating a print, or bringing out the paintbrushes — Faith always brings a quality of work & creativity to whatever project she is on.

Currently, she is working as a Creative Coordinator at The Grounded Company in Downtown Salt Lake City, working on building brands alongside the most rad creatives in slc. Aside from TGC, she also works on building her business selling Digital art prints on Etsy.

Outside of the 9-5, Faith enjoys mountain biking, skiing, and anything the outdoors has to offer. Her curiosity and drive to experience things allows her to strive in finding new ideas that are out of the norm.

CLOUDTECH

CASE STUDY 1

CONTEXT

01

CloudTech is a platform designed for MSPs that allows users to buy, sell, and manage cloud services for their customers. They came to us with ambitious goals to move their current out-of-date website to newer & faster software, including a complete UI Refactor.

Timeline: 1.5 Years

Role: UX/UI Designer

PROBLEM

02

CloudTech has a fully workable platform built entirely by different developers over time. While still a very successful company - there was no design team, no design system, & no user research to back up decisions. Their early designs lacked UX/UI features that are key to a seamless experience for their users.

With big ideas & ambitious dreams, CloudTech asked us to help them refactor their platform and get them in line with other competitors in the Cloud marketplace.

SOLUTION

03

Business-focused —

  • MVP milestones met each deadline & with early mockups of feature vision we were able to give board members an idea of what the future looked like for CloudTech.

Design-focused —

  • Created a 0-1 Design system

  • Supplied UX/UI interviews with users who currently used the platform

  • Re-structured their Information Architecture and designed a new navigation system

  • Re-designed their selling & managing experience

  • Designed new UI for their company & user account creations

ATTUNE

CASE STUDY 2

CONTEXT

01

A cancer patient support app designed to build community, find support & manage their stress.

The goal was to help Blue Note Therapeutics complete their cancer patient support app on an accelerated schedule, enabling them to lock-in Series A funding and fast-tracking their product for FDA approval.

Timeline: 1 Year

Role: UX/UI Designer

PROBLEM

02

Digital therapeutics company Blue Note and its team of cancer doctors, patients, and researchers had started designing a mobile app to deliver a clinically tested stress management program.

Their early designs lacked features to help users connect. Due to lack of features, user engagement was low. We needed to figure out how to build community, support, and trust in a digital environment.

SOLUTION

03

Business-focused —

  • New community engagement feature designed and implemented to complete MVP ahead of schedule

  • Beat deadline for regulatory fast-tracking and secured $26+ million in series A funding

Design-focused —

  • Expanded the onboarding flow to support group communication with new fields like profile photos and conditional information to promote trust and empathy amongst others within the online community

  • Designed a personalized section where users could schedule upcoming meditation exercises, track their progress for the week/month, or view a library with resources.

  • Built a journal tool to allow users to write down their thoughts and feelings throughout

the day. At the end of the program, users can download their whole journal to refer to

growmotif

CASE STUDY 3

CONTEXT

01

A life-saving app for mamas & babies. Partnered with the University of Oregon to turn a neuroscience-backed prenatal support program into a scalable mobile app for underserved pregnant people.

Timeline: 4-6 months

Role: UI Designer

Nearly half of pregnant women in the US are on Medicaid, and this low-income group has a significantly elevated risk for birth-related complications. TrueMotif, a social impact startup took an aim at these disparities with a program targeting the primary determinants of poor birth outcomes: prenatal stress, and unhealthy prenatal behaviors.

With proof of concept, the team asked to turn GrowMotif into a user-ready app they could use to test and deliver this game-changing program.

02

PROBLEM

SOLUTION

03

Business-focused —

  • Released Android mobile app “GrowMotif” on Google Play Store in preparation for pilot study, paving the way for national WIC rollout.

  • Robust yet flexible infrastructure primed to be adapted for other health coaching applications under client’s umbrella

Design-focused —

  • Built an engaging chatbot-led virtual counseling experience that authentically simulates messaging with a real person

  • Created UI components from scratch and worked around client’s needs

  • Built an Android app in which an avatar counselor would lead users though prenatal support sessions. The client emphasized that they wanted users to feel like they were having a genuine conversation with Dr. Lightcap - a departure from typical chatbot experiences. To accomplish this, we identified, designed, tested, and refined features that mimicked the feeling of a real person-to-person text conservations

Faith is amazing to work with. Not only does she have fantastic ideas, but she is very patient in listening to what ideas other people have.
